Alpha Units Complete

The art for the three prototype units for Alpha phase is complete!



This simply couldn't have been done without Mike V's dedication and hard work.


The focus of Alpha is stability and gameplay, so I wanted to keep the unit concepts fairly simple by following a generic triad of "knight, mage, dragon". Despite this, I think we were successful in putting a unique spin on those traditional themes.

Art assets can always be added and tweaked, but the core functionality of the game needs to be solid before putting a lot of time and effort into the 'icing'.


For Alpha, each unit type will have at least two class-specific abilities, each of which will interplay with other abilities in a unique fashion.

In addition, each unit type will have several Synergies that will affect ally or enemy units in various ways.
